Migrant dies inside suitcase while crossing from north African coast to Spain

A Moroccan man has died from suffocation after being hidden inside a suitcase for a five-hour ferry crossing from a Spanish city on the north African coast to mainland Spain.
The 27-year-old man was attempting to cross from Melilla, a Spanish city on the North African coast, to Almeria, on the Spanish mainland on Sunday evening, the civil guard said. The suitcase he was hidden inside was in the boot of a car belonging to his 34-year-old brother, who was on the same ferry.
The older brother has been arrested and is being held in Almeria.
